CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
P
s

*Youth riders are allowed to ride 3 classes a race day as long as they meet all 3 class requirements.
Once a youth rider races a different age class they must stay in that class regardless if it was at an AMA event. For youth classes, your age on January 1 applies for the whole year. For example, a 15 year old who turns 16 on March 1 can still race the 125 12-15 class for the entire season (because he was 15 on January 1).

Descriptions are for clarification only.  Full requirements are listed in the AMA Rulebook.  If a class is listed as “No” Series Points, that class will be offered at all GLMX tracks, but will not be paid series awards.  Other non-series points paying classes may also be offered at each track.  Check with individual tracks for details.

MINOR RACER INFO

The AMA, our insurance carrier, and common sense, require a parent or legal guardian to sign up a minor rider. For legal purposes, we need a liability release and a minor release form filled out by the parent. For safety sake, you need your parent with you in case you're hurt and need medical treatment.

If you are a minor  and coming to the track on a race or practice day without your parent or legal guardian, there is a way to ride, you are required to bring a notarized permission note giving another adult permission to sign for you. You can see what your note should contain in the example below. Make sure you have all that information in your note and you will need one for each day you ride. You  should have 2 copies of the note, 1 for us to keep and 1 for you to have. We do not like to turn people away but will not make any exceptions to this rule. We are required by AMA to have this each and every time you come to the track with someone else.

"My child, Joe Smith, has my permission to ride motocross at Log Road Motocross on date. In addition, I give permission to Sam Johnson [an adult] to sign all liability, release and registration forms at the track and to give consent for medical treatment of Joe Smith if needed."

________________________Parent or Guardian signature

________________________ Notary Public signature and seal

In the example, Sam Johnson is someone 18 or over who will be at the track with you all day. We need an original copy of a notarized note for every race or practice day. You should bring an extra copy for Sam to keep in case you are hurt. Click HERE for a printer friendly version you can print off and simply fill in the blanks.

Every race it seems like we turn away at least one disappointed rider because he or she didn't bring a parent and didn't come prepared with the proper form(s). Don't let this happen to you!

QUAD RIDER INFO
